I know how you feel about moving. I've been in the Navy for 17 years and it's all about moving every 2-3 years. It's a pain in the ass when it comes to friends and vehicles.

Arizona would be tops on my list. If you look at the national average for appreciation on houses, AZ is growing very fast. Nice weather too. What ever you do.....DO NOT go to GA. MHO.

FU, ElTianti.

Don't be scare of the Lehigh Valley, it's a fairly inexpensive place to live and still close to NYC, Philly, and Atlantic City.

Yea, in January and Febuary the Lehigh Valley / Allentown area can be cold and dreary. But then so is the whole NorthEast its called Winter.
No offense pal, but Allentown makes Cleveland look like Paris.

Well, maybe if I was the world renowned traveler that you are I would know just how terrible it is where I live.

So are you the guy that screwed my Father out of his Bethlehem Steel pension?

Don't get down and do anything rash.
Try to negotiate a severance package and secure a letter of refrence.
Your young and not under the gun supporting wife & kids so file for unemployment and use the time not working to see your family, work out (it kills depression) and decide what YOU REALLY WANT.
Travel around and see for yourself where you want to make your furture. Savannaha Ga. is nice southern town and not expensive to live. The beach at Tybee island is good. It's wam and sunny for your s2k 8-9 months a year but it might be a little small townish for you. We like Yankees, really !

sorry to hear.

It's kinda funny hearing you say Scottsdale is expensive. I put a deposit on a house right now if it's priced like Scottdale.

I understand where you're coming from about moving someplace where you don't know anyone. When I moved from Calgary to Portland several years ago I had the same concerns. What I suggest you do is join a club when you get to your new location (like maybe an S2000 club). Those people will introduce you to other people and before you know it you'll have your support system.
