sorry to hear.

It's kinda funny hearing you say Scottsdale is expensive. I put a deposit on a house right now if it's priced like Scottdale.
I would pay cash for my house if it is priced like in Scottdale.

^ Well, obviously Scottsdale is less expensive when compared to some parts of the country, but relative to other areas around Phoenix, it is pricey.

Wow, that realllly sux!!!

I know you are going through a rough time, but if you really like where you are now, (bought a house, put down some roots), think about staying where you're at...

You can change jobs, but you can't replace family and friends....

sorry!!

Thanks everyone. I guess it makes it hard because I'm a very sentimental person. When I make friends, I want to keep them......forever.

I've kinda been looking around here locally for something, but the economy in Oklahoma is so bad, that any kind of jr. grade job just won't make ends meet.

As for the S2000.....she's just a lease, and the lease is up in April, so I've only got a few more months left with her as well.

But anyways, thanks for the kind words and support.....I really guess that's what I need right now more than anything.

if you don't mind my asking, what is it you do? I've stuck out 'bad economies' in Philadelphia - I was laid off an entire summer back in 2003 - I made it though and I'm doing better than I would've ever imagined just over a year later. Stick to your guns and follow your instinct, something always comes along for those of us who do.

There is no reason you can't. I left Calgary 8-1/2 years ago and my wife and I still get together with one couple we were friends with at least once a year. We meet somewhere between our two locations. I'm also still very good friends with a number of people from Calgary and we stay in contact via e-mail. It's a little more work, but it's easy to stay friends with people even after you move away.

Sounds like you are a former Flight Options type. Short of moving to Columbus, Ohio to work for NetJets, A few possibilities come to mind for your geographical area and career field. How about Citation Shares, a jet fractional program run out of Wichita, Kansas (www.citationshares.com). Also, Universal Weather in Houston (www.univ-wea.com) always needs good dispatchers. Every corporate flight department I know uses them at one time or another. Jeppesen also does overseas planning, but i think they have moved their dispatch operation from Colorado to California. Good Luck.

Also, while I don't know much about the airlines, I think American and Southwest dispatch out of Dallas.
