Laser Jammers
TIPS FOR PASSORT REMOTE INSTALL
- Have a a couple packages of that wire wrap(plastic sleeve) ready
- Mount your front sensors so that the leading edge is just flush or JUST behind the left & right edges of your front plate.
- Make sure you keep the front sensors not only on a 90 deg. angle to the ground, but facing forward. Your trying to replicate the surface of the front plate except for the up & down adjustment, this again has to be level with the road surface.
-Use the drivers side headlight hole to wire tie all the excess front sensor leads and leave the extra lying inside there.
-The rear plate sensor is a bit harder in that if you have a plastic plate protector etc... You may have some trimming to do. I used plastic washers to insert near the top of the bolts to keep the sensor even with the ground surface. It can't be pointing up or down here whatsoever.
-If you haven't already done so, and your kit didn't include it. I suggest getting the remote display/speaker package as the small beeping speaking built in to the LED display just doesn't cut it. The speaker will add the voice option also. I mounted my speaker behind the drivers seat closest to the drive shaft tunnel on the floor.
Theres just alot of wire to deal with here and you can't really cut any of them. So mount the control/power unit and route your wires backwards from there pausing in the middle somewhere to gather the excess and store it.
Other than that, it's all about keeping the sensors on the angles they show you.

A man was speeding down the highway, feeling secure in a gaggle of cars all traveling at the same speed. However, as they passed a speed trap, he got nailed with an infrared speed detector and was pulled over.
The officer handed the man a citation, and then as he turned to walk back to his cruiser, the man asked, "Officer, I know I was speeding, but I don't think it's fair. There were plenty of other cars around me going just as fast, so why did I get the ticket?"
"Ever go fishing?" the policeman asked the man.
"Um, yeah... so," the startled man replied.
The officer grinned and added, "Ever catch ALL the fish?"

When they went to court, they all got thrown out except for the lead S2k, as they felt the others were simply following the flow of traffic.
I've been running z3 shifters for almost 2 years. They work incredibly well. I have actually had a motorcycle cop with one of those telescope looking ones catch me coming over a bridge. He held it on me from the top of the bridge to the intersection at th bottom where I came to a stop at the light. It was obvious he was trying to lock on me and couldn't read me. I just sat there smiling at him.
Other times I've had them pick off a car right next to me and my shifters never fired. I assume that's because I wasn't targetd and didn't catch any reflective laser light. I've had them target me, get no reading (I wasn't stopped) and go on to the vehicle next to me.
I can't count how many times my shifters have worked. Usually if your laser detector goes off, like instant on radar, your clocked. With the z3 shifter that's not true anymore.
They are worth every penny if you have laser speed measuring in your area. From me they get a
