Guess I'll post these again. I know.......blocks air flow.....overheating engine....blah blah blah......nonsense. It's mounted this way on an AP1, but am certain it'll work on an AP2.

That's the best solution I've seen yet, provided they don't hassle you too much for having it bent.

I just took out the black plastic, and mounted my plates using the holes on the bumper. Didn't bother with Ricks' frame or other aftermarket frames ...

I live in Texas and I have gone the last 5 months without a front license plate with no probs.

While I know it's illegal to do such, I think having a higher-end car (as opposed to a riced out civic) with bumper plugs helps.

Cops typically look for cars that look like they SHOULD have a front plate but don't (like having the plate holder with no plate).

I got a ticket for not having one so I moved across the country where they aren't required. I swear, it was the only reason I moved.

I just got a license plate violation ticket last week on another vehicle for no front plate. I'm in Cali as well. The ticket is $10 and it's the first one I've gotten on that car with no plate for 8 years. I figure $10 every 8 years ain't a bad price to pay for no front plates. Will be taking them off again right after I make the fix-it visit to the CHP office.
