Nah, they're pretty common-place around here. It's the purple and turquoise ones that really turn heads...

You can take the person out of the trailer park but u cant take the trailer park out of the person... You either have class or not... They are ignorant and don't know the difference between tacky and not. It's horrible because it brings our community down...

I guess it is my time to chime in..... Rick and I knew/hoped that this would stir some interest. And it looks like it has. We discussed this for hours before writing this thread. It is really just an opinion of wanting to keep Honda's concept in tact. I think it is perfect just the way it is and would never ever add a body kit to it. Just my opinion. Rick's accessories.......(as a side note) in my biased opinion adds subtlety and class to it. It certainly doesn't alter the appearance to the point where you can barely recognize it as an S2000. I brought these particular cars (the ones with the body kits) to his attention as examples of how (in my opinion) the S2000 shouldn't be HACKED! The lines on this car are beautiful and perfect just the way they are. We are certainly not TELLING people what they should or should not do just expressiong our opinoin as to what we feel the concept of the S2000 is all about. Maybe we are being a little abstract about this but we think that it is a work of art not needing any radical change. The purpose of this post was certainly NOT to offend anyone just voice our collective opinion on a subject we feel strongly about.

As for the second point..... I believe the quality of the posts is going downhill. I really don't know WHAT the cause of it is but I just know that I am not happy about it. I really hope that people recognize this site for what it is and rise above all of this so as to not become like "other sites" that we are familiar with.

As always.... Just my opinoin.

Rick thanks for the posts. I agree that alot of kits are overdone, the fact that this is a 35,000 (roughly) japanese sports car makes it perfectly fit for crapping up. I think the Veilside kits are fairly ugly and that your enhancements are sophisticated. The problem is that the only thing that links the owners on this site is having 35,000 or less for a used s2000 and liking the s2000. That's it plain and simple. So tacky or not you get any and everyone. There are no entrance requirements and so I know what you had to say had to be said, the kits wouldn't be made on such a low production car if they weren't being bought.

2. for the lowering of standards of the posts. Trash with 35,000 dollars is still trash. Especially if it is anonymous and online.

hey guys it looks like its just veilside kit thats being ripped here, and i wholeheartly agree with everyone, all the aftermarket kits are kinda killin the true lines of this car. However i am not going to bring down people who love these cars and have put time and effort into makin thier car "thier car". But i mean i hope u guys arent talkin about puting wings and everything cause thats something i plan to do in the future....because i love that jdm look. But as for body work, amuse front lip would just be it. I really dont know about all the side skirts and front whole kits and different rear bumpers. I love this car and sometimes its just awful to see one all screwed up. AND MY GOD WHO THE HELL THINGS THAT SUZUKA BLUE GOES WITH YELLOW AND RED SEATS WQW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
