While I think those cars look like ass and would probably laugh as they passed they can do whatever they want, it is called freedom.

Exactly, well said.

Rick

Except for rear speakers and a stick on Radio Shack clock, my S is stock as it rolled off of the delivery truck. I have neither the front nor rear spoilers, side strakes, or any other after market add on. As long as I have the privilege of owning the car, that is how it will remain. To me it is a masterpiece that I am lucky to own. My work of art is satisfactory and satisfying as it is, and needs no further enhancements. That is my vision.

Others see things differently. Their vision is of a car that is a starting point, a work in progress, that needs to be enhanced to satisfy their need, likes or desires. That is how they see things.

Who is right? We both are. Neither vision needs to be embarrassed by the other, there is room enough for both. It is the diversity, the idea that we can see things differently, that makes us great. You may not like the cars, but you must applaud the creativity and effort.

I am concerned about your comment quoted above. I too agree that a debate like this is what makes s2ki.com special. The ability to share ideas and thoughts can only benefit everyone. I have heard mention of Bieg in the course of this thread. While I don't always agree with him, I thank him for having the nerve to mention controversial topics. Bieg makes us think, and that is the most noble thing a person can do.

Still, it can't be that you are taking the "color debates" or the "what CD is in your changer" threads seriously. Surely, the cold and gloom of winter has temporarily robbed you of your sense of humor. Those threads are just for fun, mental bantering in a harmless way. Don't make the mistake of comparing that fun exercise to a serious debate like this one.

Luckily, winter will be over soon and we can all get back to driving our cars.

S2K Couple, I could not have said it better myself. While those of us who CHOSE to particpate in the colour war have been laughing away, I see this thread as quite offensive as outlined in my earlier post.

Perhaps, some have lost thier sense of humour.....

Some people prefer traditional art (stock S), while others prefer abstract art (aggressive mods).

I happen to like the look of the Celica GTS with the aggro package and the "ugly" S photos posted here.

A rock n roll fan may think electronic/techno music sounds "ugly", but does a Deadhead's opinion really matter to a Raver?
