Lately we've been concerned...

I am in favor of a policy of "pay you play" otherwise you remain a lurker. I think it would greatly improve things around here.
I miss the old days, it's just not what it use to be here anymore.

Back to the topic! This thread should have been killed half way down the first page. All opinions/comments were made by then. All others are repeats. Maybe I am a fool for reading it this far.
Worse yet, I am a food for posting and continuing this nonsense.
Speak up and take a risk of being chastized for your point of view. It's easier to sit around and never take a risk.
Bravo to Rick for having the balls to say what he thinks. I personally don't think any less of him.
There are so many people who post here and don't do a spelling check, a grammar check, or a politically correct check. The lead post wasn't perfect, but for the most part was of high quality and deserving of a read.
It's a pleasure to hear someone express a well-thought out and substantiated point of view that they have at a particular time and for a particular reason. Many times a point of view excludes other's point of view by design or by neglect.
Either way, you'll never be able to contrast point of views unless you hear each side without the dilution of filtering of considering the other's perspective.
Then, after it's said, and the feedback comes in... the original speaker gets to hear the other point of view and everybody benefits from what is said... because we understand everyone else better.
Rick's points were suported by the posts that followed. Either because people agreed with him, or because they made statements that proved his point.
Rick and Paulie asked what our thoughts were, and they probably read all of them.
No, I don't think there is much more need for bashing...

I am not trying to start a pissing match or anything like that, but hey, you asked for my 2 cents, so I will give it. First off, let me say I agree that there really isn't
anything I would ever want to change about the S. I like it in stock fashion, and I would never dream of putting a kit or wing on my car. I guess I am not like a lot of the S owners. I see it as a fun means of transportation. I don't know why a lot of the S owners panties are in a bunch. It's a car for crying out loud. If a person wants to "enhance" the appearance of their car, so be it. If they own the car, they can do what ever they feel like. My grandfather, and dad fought in wars so that I could have the freedom to what I want to. A lot of you make it sound like it should be illegal to change the appearance of the S. It's like you guys think there should be a dictatorship in which only certain mods can be done the car, for everyone else's enjoyment and pleasure. I have also read about the car coming down in price, so expect more of this kinda stuff to happen because the younger crowd will want to "rice" them out because they are becoming more affordable. Well, all cars depreciate, and I would never pay sticker, or sticker plus for a car that I know depreciates every day. Maybe some of the people would rather pick up a used one, so they can do the mods they feel fit for their taste, not yours or mine. The S isn't the best car in the world like most here feel.
I get true enjoyment out of it, but again, to me it's fun transportation. Don't hate someone for wanting to be different. My buddy was giving me $hit about the pink S from F&F2, and I was like "it's not my car, so I can care less". You guys need to realize that in another year, the MY00 are going to be in the mid teens, and if it really bothers you how someone else fancies their car, maybe you should consider getting a different car. It's like (generalizing) the S owners think that you are above the other cars on the road, when in fact, we are just driving another Honda, maybe the most expensive Honda, but it's still a Honda.

His post was not well thought out or he would not have exposed himself in the very same post.
By the looks of most of these replies, does look like this passed the politically correct filter either...so your point was???

A few years back before the internet, you'd write a letter, and have an opportunity to re-read it before sending it in the mail then next morning with a fresh head about you. These days, you hit the enter button and it's out there in a split second... no looking back!
