My car is almost 100% stock. I added a few minor things (ie. console cover, etc...), but you would have a hard time identifying any mods.

That being said, I don't have a problem with others doing what they want. If they like it that way then thats cool.

I guess I look at it this way:

Some like to dress up and mod the exterior (some more extreme than others)

Some like to mod the mechanics even though stock would still be fine since they don't really drive it to the limits, but like the way a different exhaust sounds, or want to dress up the engine with non performance accessories (ie. oil caps, and other items)

Some like to add new or improve the sound system. Some are extreme or flahsy (why do amps have to light up in the trunk?). But if that is what they want then so be it.

I think diversity is good and shows peoples personalities. I don't have to like it.

i dont want 2 sound mean but i think everyone really needs 2 grow up. the main reason people mod their cars is to be different. if you think youre destroying the original design of honda then think of it this way, you wouldnt think twice about modding the engine? is this not changing the original design of the honda? i think its bloody annoying 2 see so many clones on the road these days. im always gettin on at ma friend(s2000 owner) 2 do sumthin a wee bit different. maybe its just because im "young" (17) but i think a persons car reflects who the person is (maybe thats why ma cars gonna get get resprayed baby pink! lol. sorry for being bitchy but i felt it was needin said

bye bye xxxx

It still annoys me that I can't get much farther than the top of 4th before having to slow down.

so dirty red is the fastest color?

The Miata is quite a therapy session; its gears can be rowed through around town without much trouble of going too fast. What fun it is!

...and the point in letting your car go to absolute $hit is what, again? Sorry, I just don't understand letting your car go like that. To each his own I guess.

Rick,
Speaking of modifications, how can you justify the cost of the new digital gauges? All of the guages you featured can be found on the internet for less than $60. I could also duplicate the radio door myself for less than $20 in fiberglass supplies. You have made some fabulous products with affordable prices but IMO you've gone way overboard with the price on this particular product.
