Lately we've been concerned...
Live and let Die ! I always say, or was that live and let live ?
Simply put , some people like vanilla Ice cream and some people like Banana Splits...
I think its amusing that an S2000 owner might call another a ricer.
Why have Hondas become the official ricer mobiles? Because they are obviously good reliable cars and their sheer numbers have made them seem omnipresent.
The S2000 comes with Ricer tailights from the factory for Christmas sakes !
The real star of the Fast and Furious was the "RX-7"
or shall I say "The Rice and the Riciest "
And why would a Proud Honda owner hide behind S Badges ?
Someone please clue me in here . I just don't get the attraction ?

Either way, it was a hell of a fun movie.

I think we might have to rethink this right to free speech thing.
You and those that think (or speak, I'd hate to incorrectly assume you thought) like that are the reason so much of the world hates America.

As a proud American, it gives me no joy to see my fellow countrymen make comments like that. It makes me sick, in fact, and I apologize to everyone.
But... and here's the qualifier, I can understand where he's coming from. I don't condone it, but I understand it. Everytime our country gets kicked in the groin, we have to turn on the TV and see people in other parts of the world that we're trying to help, protect, or support dancing at the streets in fits of joy. It gets old awfully quick.
I'm 30. I'm fiscally conservative and socially moderate. I believe that each human being has the right to do what he/she wants so long as it doesn't infringe upon the same rights of his/her neighbor. I consider myself very lucky in that I have a multiracial make up and I've travelled a great portion of the world (although there's a lot more that I want to see before they bury me). I honestly don't think I'm ethnocentric but I am patriotic and do believe (based on my education and my travels) that I live in the greatest nation the world has ever seen. I believe its our responsibility to share that wealth and spread the good with the rest of the world. But you know what, its getting harder and harder to feel good about sending food, medicine, money and soldiers to others around the world when all we get in response is a giant "Yankee Go Home" banner, a burned flag and a middle finger.
Sorry for hi-jacking the thread, I just had to get that off my chest.
Is it possible that this whole thread is not about the S2K at all? It seems to me that (at least here in the US) it's a direct reflection of the abysmal events that linger from Sept 11, a declining economy, failing stock market, impending war, and a popular culture that has had it's wheels ripped off. (Columbia loss) I can't speak for anyone else, but all these events have had a very profound singular effect on me...malaise! I have no point of reference in my 53 years that helps me understand, or deal with what I perceive as the decline of sanity in this world. This war, if it comes (and it will) is one that at it's best will be recorded in the won column of military journals. Yeah we will win, but it's the price that bothers me. The ultimate reality here is that it will serve as a catalyst for those that hate us to redouble their efforts to destroy us. Saddam has nothing to lose here. The burning of his countries oil fields as well as the launching of "WMD" at our troops or other countries in the region might possibly serve to give our generals in the field the "right" to launch a nuclear countermeasure. If this happens boy's and girl's all bets are off! My take of it is, that a few "wildly modified S2k's" don't mean a damned thing...nor should they!
Sorry to change the subject...or did I?
