But then we would be talking about upgrading the F22 to an F20.

i don't think that any aftermarket LED has them built in so you will have hyperblink problems until you add one.

Mark: Thanks for pointing out the mix up! I'll fix that!

I'm working on getting the turn signals to work this week. I'll keep you guys posted on that. Daytime brightness on the LEDs isn't bad, but I'll try to snap some video for you guys to see. I haven't had a chance to see the LEDs against direct sun yet so I don't know how bright they are, but I did drive around all day with it yesterday, and I didn't get rear ended!

As for part #s, I guess I shouldn't put the name of the website where I bought them, but you can obviously see the name in the pics above.

BRAKE/TAIL - 7443-15 (15 LED Red)
*TURN - 1156-A24 (24 LED Amber)
BACKUP - 7440-15 (15 LED White)

*Hold off on getting the turn signal bulbs. They didn't fit correctly, nor did they work after I removed one of the lucking stubs to try to fit them.

If anyone else has had success with getting 1156 bulbs to fit and light up in 1156A sockets, please PM me.
I LED'ed all my lights a long time ago. They bulbs Secret got are the new taillights; new in that they have 4 led's that shine sideways on top of the 12 that shine outward. That makes them use the factory relfectors better. Also the turns DO NOT fit, as noted. The slot on the bayonette is slightly off on the s2k socket. They are about 170 degrees apart on they socket, where the bulb is exactly 180 degrees. The will fit if you just jam them in (what i did) but you'd have a hard time getting them out. Also, you have to switch the +/- input wires to the socket, as they are backwards on the s2k (LED's are polarized). Then, you gotta do modifry's "hyperblink" mod. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...7&hl=hyperblink

hope this helps!

Yeah... definately a downgrade to the F22

Anyway, I haven't had a chance to get someone I know to drive behind me during the day so they can compare other people's brakes to mine. Nevertheless, I think they look great. The colortone of the red has much less orange, and the instant on/off effect in the 00-03 housing is exactly what I wanted.

Another side note: After I emailed the folks that I purchased the LEDs from regarding the turn signals, they told me that cutting off a stub wouldn't cause the LED bulb not to light up. Now it's either the bulbs they sent me were both not working, or I somehow broke the bulb while cutting off a stub on the base. I'll get back to you guys on that.

I did this 2 years ago....I believe I was the first on s2ki to do this....(look at the electronics section).....

This is a VERY dangerous mod. Those LEDs look nice at night, but they are invisible during the day. People will not see that you are braking, and might slam you. Not worth it IMHO.

Also, I used the same lights as you.

the same lights from the same store? i know that superbrightleds.com just came out with the 'sideways' shining light a few months ago. I dont see any problem. I followed my buddy on PCH in the middle of the afternoon (who also did the tailights) and there were no visibility problems.

Hmmmm....as far as I know, it was the same lights (yes it was from superbright leds)....let me try this again....When I did this, they were invible during the day at any angle, and 90% invisible if you looked dead on at them.
