AP2 V1 04' #2615 engine is in my garage... ty one an all... now the fun begins.. oh.. wait, the fun already began.. on with the show....

got this home, an dawned on me.. how am I getting this off the truck...

Coggin Honda St Augustine does rock.... after explaining what I had done.. my dealership sent over a couple guys an lent me a hand getting this engine off my pickup, an into the garage... I didn't buy anything from Coggin Honda yet for this build.. and still I am getting Unbelievable Support and Services..

I am no mechanic.. But my 2001 daily driven acura gs-r burned oil and I had no idea. When I checked the dip it was well below the line. And I drove it around for a long while too! Again, no light, nothing to indicate I'm low on oil. Engine made a louder sound but I assumed it was valves needing adjusting or something and drove it for like a week lol. The engine is fine, they take a beating.. I'm still driving it to this day. Very anecdotal, but that was my experience with honda engines.

The oil light doesn't mean low oil. It's meant to tell u low pressure. And when it goes on its usually telling u, That it's to late. It's pretty much telling u ur car just flatlined

You gotta love b series engines. My buddy drove his b16 forever always low in oil. When vtec stopped working he knew it was time for an oil change lol.

Damn dude. Glad to see a fellow s2k owner getting their hands dirty and doing their own work. Props.

But that must have been an expensive day of tool shopping lol.
I feel like I have a damn good job but all of those tools at once would put some pressure on my bank account lol.
I had to take baby steps for my tool supply

remember those ITB's I thought I was saving up for... if the hurt isn't too deep, still might do those...

yea it was fun shopping... i'm replacing stuff I sold like 25 years ago.. sold my tools an opened a computer store... anyway, there's more i'm getting.. a sand / glass cleaning booth.. some paint toys... welding stuff... an considering replacing my compressor with a BIGGER one...

much of this was in my plans, cept I was wanting to get other matters more settled ahead of a rebuild, not an emergency...

and, none of this is the build yet..

been putting the equipment together.. all day event... going to finally mount the new engine to the stand and start it's clean up...

popped the interior pieces out and got the trans first stages complete... when i see that, it's ok or new clutch time..

wanted to hire... camera crew... i'm not much for selfies...
