Default License Plate Frame & Sharp Edges

Hello Everybody

I didn't know exactly where to post this type of question, so hopefully this forum is ok.

Anyway, I have a license plate frame that I want to put on my S2000, and realized that the edges of this frame (the back edges that would come into contact with the car) are somewhat sharp. Now I'm worried about installing this frame b/c I don't want these edges to dig and cut into the car over time. I've been racking my brains trying to figure out what to do to remedy this. What do you guys think? Is filing my only real option here?

Oh and please don't suggest that I throw the frame away (it's a pretty trick frame, so I'd like to keep it).

mmm it depends on how much u file.. but i woudl imagile even if u file.. a dull partof the frame woudl touch the paint surface... what i might do is find somethign that may pad it? one of those thin sticky rubber strips, that are like tape but are made of rubber i suppose... i'm not sure but i would imagine u can find some at a hardware store...

Go to a Home Depot and look for those small round rubber sticky dots people use to keep vcr's,cd players etc...from sliding around. These things are only about an 1/8 of an inch tall and you get something like twelve in a pack. You may also want to super glue them to the frame to help them stay in place. No rubbing and you won't see them.
