License Plates...............
by not putting it there ...
that's what i am doing.
i am in East LA, CA and front plate is required.
i am running a risk here. but i will take it instead of putting front plate up and make the front looks funny ...
well, if i start to got pulled over a lot, then i will consider putting the front plate back on.
but for now, no front plate for me please.
and if your area is pretty straight about it. then i don't think you have a 2nd choice besides putting the front plate on.
i am not telling you break the law here. but it's your call.

Front plates are also a bad idea, since that is how the sickening "Red Light Cameras" get your number for your $271 "first timer" ticket in some jurisdictions.
Culver City (near LA) is a particularly bad place for no front plate. Cops there will stop anything they are doing, it seems, to write a car w/o the front plate.
Any other nightmare jurisdictions we should know about?
Thanks....Bob

Wanabe,I see you live close to me and i'm not sure if you have a front plate or not,but take my advice(if you don't have a plate) and watch out when driving in Culver City because the C.C.P.D really enjoys stopping people for that.
I thought having your plate on top of the dash still VIOLATED license plate laws in California. Is this true?
To my understanding, you have to have your plate clearly mounted on the bumper ... can anyone confirm this?
