Listen to this!
That really sucks. I hope his insurance doesn't give you any problems in getting your car fixed or paid out if it is totalled.
Right -- because old people are the only cause of accidents on the road.
License testing and renewal in general needs to be more strict in many, many places.
I'm not even saying that this is the case but it's amazing how people will jump to conclusions after reading something. Drinking isn't the only way to have alcohol on your breath.

I can't believe that someone with alcohol on their breath could go scot free after driving over a planter into someone else's car.

All jokes aside... I hope everything works out for you. That really sucks. I thought I had bad luck when the kids washing my car scratched my bumper when I first bought it.
Surprised the police even showed up since it happened on private property. Where I live, they won't even come out if it happened in a parking lot, much less give someone a ticket. You're lucky the guy didn't drive off while you were inside.
That sucks! I was hit sitting at a stop sign a few weeks after getting a vehicle; I couldn't even open the drivers door, luckily I was only driving an Astro van.
Let us know how this turns out.
