Default Little help

so I parked my car and I see smoke coming from the engine bay. Shut it off and had it towed to my garage.
few things:
2of valve cover bolts were missing and I could see oil was leaking from them.
cleaned them up and replaced.
about 2 to 3 X were missing from dip stick. Refilled engine oil.
turned engine on, I hear rattling sound and my garage was filled with exhaust gas.
just to see if my engine is ****ed I revved and rattling sound would go away and come back as rpm hits 4K.
and rattling will continue as rpm drops.
now I am 90%sure my test pipe is loose. I can’t check til tomorrow as my kids won’t let me.
here is question, if it is testpipe this would be 2nd time this happened. Am I missing something? Is this common problem ? Last time all the bolts came off testpipe while driving.
Thanks in advance

Are you using spring bolts like stock? They keep the bolts tight despite the vibrations.

Little update:
test pipe was not loose.
took off heat and header shield to see if there is crack.
on header shield there was crack, took it off new part ordered.
now I am looking at my tct, as sound is very identical to ones on YouTube. I DIY fixed it last time I guess it’s time for new one. Waiting for parts to arrive, wish me luck guys.

The billman tct has a lifetime warranty. You should get that one. Stock ones are known to just wear out again.

problem is I do not have Facebook and I can’t find anyway to buy from him. I am in SoCal and seems like pain to ship back and forth

You don't have to be on facebook. You send him a PM from here on the forum (you've been a member here for more than two weeks, so that shouldn't be an issue). He'll send you all of the details that you'll need. Once you receive the new TCT from him and install it (with the included bolts), you simply send him your old TCT along with the old bolts. Not really all that complicated, but yes there is the extra step of sending the old TCT back.
