I am currently 21 and have 3 years left on the finance. So I figure pay the thing off so I have my sports car for the hubby/ daddy years. I have no intention of selling my car... unless Monte Carlo Blue or Imola Orange show up. Either way my garage is a permanent home to the S2000.
If money wasn't a thing I would mod the car until there was nothing left to mod. but this is not the case. I buy the parts I really want and change as I go. It's a work in progress.

My cars are a work in progress. Takes time to get the car where I really want it to be. I plan on keeping this car forever. That is as long as some clown doesn't clobber it.

The longest I have been able to keep a car has been 2 1/2 years ( 99 Boxster I had till 2001) Most cars seem to last a year. I dont call it rich...I call it stupid. I just like to try out different cars....its a sickness One thing about swapping cars....you gravitate towards cars that keep their value. The best cars over the last few five years for me ( resale wise) was the Audi TT and the BMWX5....the worst, Lexus GS400, Mazda Miata, and Porsche Boxster...the 2.7 Boxsters tanked after the Boxster S came out. The S2k looks like a winner on the depreciation scale for at least another year...and I have a 02.

I HOPE I can keep this for at least 2 years......but that would be amazing for me. So many cool cars coming out over the next few years. But for right now the S2K is a great car. One of the best pure driving cars I have ever owned.

Cheers!

I plan on keeping the S2K around for a long time. With my current track record on cars, I've kept all of my cars for well over 5 years.

it lasted all of three months for me...

while I do regret selling it because it is a beautiful car I don't regret the reason for selling it....to pursue other business interests....

guess all my long term plans went out the door along with my car....

My $10k+ Civic hatchback lasted for 11 yrs and still running.

My $30k+ S2000 will have to last at least 30 years in order to get my money's worth.

I'm with Rick and a whole lot of others. This is the car I've wanted to drive for a long time, and I plan on doing just that. Twenty years from now it'll be a classic!
