Longest Road Trip in your S2000?
Suddenly my trip from Los Angeles to Sedona, AZ, and the Grand Canyon seems like nothing.
Great pics and trip info, all!
Many years ago I did a two week trip up the coast from LA to Portland in a Miata. That was amazing and fun.

You guys are pretty hardcore. I could barely handle 18 hours from LI to Orlando a few months ago in a U-haul.
Love the story and the pics, WarTowels
Oh yea, longest trip was the 3+ hours from Lancaster, PA back to LI when I bought her

nice road trips...
I had a project a few years back, it gave me my longest drive.. I went from here in Florida up to NE Kansas and down to Ok City, then Dallas and Houston and back to Florida... nice drive, but was more business and less sightseeing..
A bit over 4,500 miles:
Houston, TX -> Kerrville, TX -> Phoenix, AZ -> Monterey, CA via Los Angeles and the Pacific Coast Highway -> San Francsico, CA -> San Ramon, CA -> Lone Pine, CA via Yosemite -> Las Vegas -> Zion National Park -> Bryce Canyon -> Grand Canyon South Rim -> Flagstaff, AZ -> Santa Fe, NM -> Fort Worth, TX -> Houston, TX.
The other two major road trips in the S have come fairly close at just under 3,000 miles (to Asheville, NC and other parts and back) and just over 3,000 miles (to the Black Hills and parts of Colorado and back).

Last summer I went on a road trip to Austin with my wife to see a friend of mine. About 4 days of driving total (2 there, 2 back), and 4 days in Austin.
Washington, DC
Knoxville, TN
Memphis, TN
Austin, TX
New Orleans, LA
Washington, DC
Was about 3,100 miles, with the last leg being about 1,100 miles in 1 day (took about 16 hours). I drove the entire time since my wife doesn't want to drive stick shift. Whenever we go out in the S now, she says "I can't believe we drove to Austin in this thing".
I'm glad I did it, but I don't think I'll ever be taking the S more than a couple hours away any more.

I've only had the S out of state a few times, mostly Phoenix to the Los Angeles area, including a run in the Santa Monica Mountains with the Southern California group. The longest in-state run with the the local S2Ki group on the Devil's Highway run which included Hwy 191 in Arizona, the old Hwy 666, which is a blast to drive north or south bound.
I dream of longer trips in the S, including the California and Oregon/Washington coastlines, and many western US National Parks.
I made a Phoenix to New York City drive 2 years ago in a different vehicle. That was Phoenix, to Oklahoma, Chicago, Detroit, NYC, and back via Ohio, Nebraska, Denver, to Sacramento, then Los Angeles, and returning to Phoenix. The only reason I didn't take the S on that trip was that I only had street parking in NYC.

Dallas to Virginia..........in 3 days...........in the winter.
I'm picky when it comes to cars, I found what I wanted in Dallas so I used some frequent flier miles and flew out there and picked it up on December 27th. Drove that night to Texarkana, the next day I did Texarkana to Indianapolis to stay with a friend for a couple days and then did Indianapolis to VA in a day. The Texarkana to Indianapolis day was rough, took 13 hours and about 1000 miles. I was battling sleet, snow and rain the whole way which wasn't much fun.
The first night at the hotel.
