My 01 gets about 22-23 mpg average, with maybe 25+ on the highway, and 20 around town. At 80mph, the engine is sitting above 4K rpm, I think. I bet optimal fuel consumption is around 60mph... The gas is okay, but putting premium in is never fun.

I am 17 y/o in Seattle, and this is my only car. It's registered under my name as I bought it myself, I have full coverage, and I have one accident with no tickets on my record. I pay about $220/month.

I got a '93 Mazda RX7 and paid about $1200 a year. I am too getting a S2000 as soon as I sell my RX7. I called my insurance company for a qoute for a '02 S2000. They told me $1125 for a year. Why ? newer car have better safety features. Hope that help.
