Default Loose Power Outlet

Hey guys,

Does anyone know how to get in behind the center console (towards the rear) between the seats? I just bought an '03 and the power outlet is loose (to the point I can pull it right out and look at the wires) ... Any suggestions?

I had this same problem in my AP1, I had to take it back to the dealer twice. It was under warranty though.

After I posted, I realized that I missed the word 'loose' in the forum search ... so after running thru about half a dozen posts ... I combined all the suggestions made previously and fixed it up in about 10mins ... moved the driver's seat all the way forward, removed the 2 coat hooks from the lower panel and snapped the panel off completely ... I then jammed my hand and half my arm (which aren't small) into the center console (this pry'd the lower part of the center console open a bit) ... screwed it back together and so far so good ...

Mine came loose and I did the open the drivers side rear panel and reach in technique and it worked great. All tight now.

This may have been the lazy way out, but I took a good 2 part epoxy and glued the outlet to the plastic. You can't see any of the epoxy and it has not come loose in over a year. Prior to that I had to have it repaired 3 times.

I did that reach in the rear trick and all that did was cut my hand a good half a foot!!! Blood everywhere b/c of some piece of sharp metal back there.
