Was originally looking at a B5 S4, but then I saw a couple S2000's at a local Acura dealership. Test drove one, fell in love. Had to have a yellow one though, so the hunt was on for about a year or so. Finally got my love... and the rest is wet, hot, history.

After selling my semi-auto Civic 1 year ago i was looking for something fun, RWD with manual tranny and at least 200hp. Quite liked the Z4 3.0 - but only autos were availible. didn't like 350Z since it was too bulky and flash. Settled on 2005 Renault Clio v6, but the dealer suddenly jacked up the price by 5K EUR But since i was already invested in buying a two seater, thought what the hell, i'll just get a S2000 Haven't had a clue as to what it would feel like, nor did i have any particular love for it. But that all changed when i got in MY S and took it to VTEC for the first time

saw it first back in 2000. thought it was ugly and weak.

friend and I went to exotic car rental in 01 and rented it for 1 night cuz it was the cheapest thing there. (125 a day)

that night i felt like a race pro. we drove it all night till the sun came up. never experienced anything like it and after all these years, still haven't.

i raved about the car so much that 3 people bought it cuz of me.

i finally got my own in 05. all those years without the car was time lost.

have never liked convertibles before as i stay in Singapore, a country that is either scorching hot or raining...not to mention canvas top attract slicers...

went for a trip to Melbourne, Australia about a year and half ago and my brother threw me his keys to his '99 S. I took a drive with the top down and i was hooked. After driving normal-roofed cars for so many years, the openness was liberating....

came back, sold the STi and got myself an AP1. The rest, as they say, is history....

Loved it since '99, but it didn't seem practical. Then test drove one in early '07. I said to my wife that it would be amazing if driving could be that much fun all the time. Love at first drive I guess.

I think my wife finally got tired of stopping at every Honda dealer to look at them. When I picked up my S, the salesperson asked where else I'd looked. I told him, "everywhere". When we cleaned out my trade-in, he found business cards from 4 other dealers.

In HS back in 02, I used to go to the car meets in my 02 RSX-S in Houston on Westheimer. I distinctly remember a silver S2000 with an exhaust and it sounded like SEX. It was dropped and clean as hell. As we drove up a parking garage, I knew I had to have one.
I never thought I'd sell my RSX, but it was stolen last year. With depreciation on the s2k and the ~17k check, I could afford to buy one. I also test drove a Z, but they were too fat, the shifter was worse than my RSX and MUCH worse than the S2000.

Went to the dealer to get the radio code for a old Honda radio that I was selling on eBay. As I was walking past the lot, I stopped to take a look at the new 06 civics. Saw a black/black brand new 05 AP2 sitting under the canopy. I'd never really considered an S2000 and wasn't even in the market for a car. A salesman thought I was and so we proceeded to go test drive the new civic. Nice but nothing exciting. I then asked if we could take the S2000 for a spin. It truly was love at first sight when I sat in the purpose built interior but what sealed the deal....

was VTECing on the freeway in second, third and fourth! Holy crap! I KNEW I had to have this car - it tugged on emotional heartstrings that I never knew I had and beckoned to me in a way that no car had done before.

9 months later, I picked up my brand new 06 LBP S2000. I put 1000 miles on it per week for 8 weeks straight - I just couldn't stop driving it. A year and a half later, after many many miles, a trip to the Dragon, multiple autoxs and track days, I still love the thing to death.

IMHO, its one of the most fun cars under 100k and one of the most well-engineered cars under 100k. It just doesn't get any better.

I made the mistake of sitting in the showroom S2000, when I was buying my Accord. I was instantly taken by the way the cockpit wrapped around the seating area and had everything at the driver's fingertips.
2 years later, I just happened to be cruising craigslist and found a pretty good deal. I jokingly told my wife about it, and she said to go ahead and apply for financing. Fast forward a few weeks, and I had an awesome Silverstone beauty sitting outside my place.
