Sounds like you've already made up your mind. In any case, I don't think a 500whp example is going to be any more interesting to drive than a 250hp SCed one.

Therefore, it still won'r be better than the S. Definitely the swap would be a mistake. Keep the S and get a mint mk2 golf rallye. Now THEY are interesting (4wd, G60, killer machine).
