did you just recently purchase the s2k? The powerband on the car is something to get used to if you're coming from a car that had tq.

Not sure the heat bog would cause that large of an issue. Have you done any modifications under the hood lately? Look at your engine and make sure all the hoses are still in place and secured.

Modifications aren't going to help.
It is a stock problem.
There are 3 things you need to make combustion, Air, Fuel, and Spark.
Your car is struggling in one of those 3 categories.

1)Start with the easiest first, take out your air filter and look at it, It could be very dirty or clogged.

2)Go to your auto parts store and buy some fuel system cleaner, not the cheap stuff, get some good, high quality stuff.

3)Take out your spark plugs and inspect them, see if they are very wet/fouled.

Hope this helped, Good luck

Still having issues? If so, take a spin on a cool evening for a comparison.

This sounds like regular heat bog in the intake to me. Kind of a bummer, huh?

Lid off gives you heat bog ALL THE TIME, so you don't notice any difference because you never get any proper take-offs to feel how it is supposed to be.

Sure sounds awesome with it off, though. You can get away with it during the winter (and I do once it once in a while for fun), but in the summer its all bad.

heat saturation in the intake (and manifold) would cause that. It's normal actually. Best thing for it would be to hit the highway for about 20 min.
