remember that craftsman has lifetime warranty as well. i dont know if it is in tact with this product however. it doesnt say anything on the webpage to assume otherwise, and there are enough sears shops around me to be able to go down and swap easily. with the $200 aluminum jack, you could, quite possibly, have 10 jacks as well should they all go bad.

I picked up that same Craftsman jack yesterday. It was on sale for 179. I looked at quality jacks for a long time and finally decided on this one It's a great quality piece, smooth operation and looks cool.

I didn't want to worry about the Harbor Freight jack breaking being that it's holding a 2800lb car over my head, so I bought the Craftsman and love it.

xviper - I usually go for the el cheapo as well. My craftsman has finally given out... seals leaking pretty good. I am looking at the harbor freight one for a couple of reasons... when on sale it can be had for $99, it's easy to use, less pumps than small jack, and it's light for it's size so Ican carry to and from track easier.

I've been very happy with Harbor Freight and the quality of things I have purchased over the years.

The larger one looks almost exact to the craftsman.

The smaller one seems to be well built also, and only lacks rapid pump and some maximum height. Since it's 11 lbs lighter, it's more of an option to throw in the trunk if needed for some reason. This is the one I will get.

$5.95 S&H, no state tax... I'm loving it!

Thanks for the replies!
