Only complaint I have on this jack is a bit of fluid that will leak out around the piston in the back...other than that the thing is fantastic
If your jack is leaking anything at all -- take it or send it back! There should be no leaks at all. That's an accident waiting to happen. There is a procedure with the HF jack when you first get it (read the instructions) for dispelling any air bubbles.

mwy23,

The HF jack will fit under the front end of a stock S2000 on level ground; same with the AC jack which sells for about $220. If it did not, I would not have bought it. I tried a friends first and then my own... both slide under (barely but enough). The clearance is only about an 1/8 to 1/4 inch, so if you have any mods to suspension, wheels, etc. which lower the front then you must drive on boards first.

Harbor Freight just opened a store here, and I walked around checking things out. The Chinese stuff looked to be pretty decent quality. The stuff from India and Pakistan looked about the same as the Chinese crap was 10 or 12 years ago: vice jaws that weren't parallel, welds that looked like I had done the welding, etc. But I was impressed with the apparent improvement in the stuff from China.

ace,

does this jack reach the front center jacking point without clearance issues? if so, i may have found my jack.
i can't recall if it does... i think so. i'll give it a look in the next day or so. i bought is a "jack of all trades" (so to speak) because it will lift my family's big suvs very high as well as reach some pretty semote spots under a vehicle.

just don't expect it to be soemthing that you can tuck away in a corner of a small garage.

I have that craftsman and its amazing. 3 pumps fully in the air, ultra low profile means it can get under our car, and its light as hell.

Magnetic tray also comes in handy.

Fantastic jack, no complaints.

Has anyone tried the 1.5 ton version? I just picked one up for $120.
