To Lower or, Not to Lower... ... That is the Question
SpaceNeedle - yes... :-)
Bieg, perhaps I was too general. In terms of front/rear and left/right weight transfer, simply changing spring rates (not height), swaybars, or shocks will not affect the _total_ amount of weight transferred from side to side or front to back.
If you change _relative_ spring or swaybar rates, you will change the _distribution_ of that weight transfer (in lateral transitions, the front tire might get a larger proportion with a larger front bar/stiffer spring for example), but the total weight transfer does not change. Shocks can only affect transients, but total weight transfer will still end up being the same regardless of shock.
Only changing Cg height, track and wheelbase can affect total weight transfer.
Better? :-)

Hey rick..... not to knock your wheels, but you better not lower that bad boy... those wheels stick out way to far in the back to ever lower it. 255's on 8" wheels that have a 45mm offset somehow makes for stickingout.

I debated the same question and decided against lowering.

ultimate lurker: I agree with space needle... I read the forums daily and always see your posts. They are intelligent, typo free, informative (though often above my head). You should have your name changed to "automotive guru". Keep up the good work and thanks for your posts.
