This rail lowers the entire seat. The lumbar area is in the same place with respect to the bottom cushion.

@ Ste_Nova : Nice solid mod but it also lowers the seat pan with respect to the seat back which throws off the lumbar support and can give you a pain in the back after a while.
Did you somehow lower the seat back to match?

didn't lower the back, but seat is fine done loads of long runs and it feels better
also repaired and swapped the foams and covers
all finished 
i've swapped the foams aswell (didn't someone say they were different?) halfords sponges and a bread knife

Quite nice of you to take all of those pics and even pull out the other seat for comparison.
Interesing seats you have there. Are those vinyl in the center or some type of cloth? Were full leather seats a costly option?
