Yeah, I've heard both sides of this. IMO, I'd rather not give them a reason to pull me over. I have been pulled over in a previous car for no front tag.

here in ak, it is a fix it ticket when the cop actually cares enough to give you a ticket for it. Then all I do is velcrow the liscence plate on, take a picture and tak it to the police station. Kind of rediculious you dont have to bring the car with you, but whatever. It works for me. Most of the time the cop just says to put it on and lets me go. I have only ever actually gotten a ticket twice before for it.
