Are Espliers softer then 00/01 spring rates? I'm rather happy with the early stiffer rates and wouldn't wanna change much from them, especially reducing rates.

The issue with H&R is that they don't publish rates. I'm not willing to purchase a spring with unknown rates. I know a lot about suspension and want to find the right spring that will maintain the oem balance for the early AP1's, afterall I'm a fan of rear heavy rates.

On my civic I'm running 400f/500r with a 22mm front sway and a 24mm rear. Obv its a different animal since its fwd, but I've gotten acquainted with throttle lift oversteer at the track.

if you want lowest go with skunk2s but, if you want a slight drop then go with espliers.

In the rear you shouldn't have a problem. In the front, you might rub a tiny bit. I see the slightest bit of scuffing on the front fender tab for my fender liner running stock 205/55/16 S02s. Could have only hit once or twice over big bumps.. I don't know. Tread width on those S02s is 7.2".. 225/45/17s typically run around 8".

I have a MY00 and Espliers did Soften my car up quite a bit on OEM wheels, when i went to 17's it did firm it back up with the smaller side wall tire, but it wtill does not have have that hard jolt when you hit a bump.
