I wasn't so sure about it until I read that you maintained the 50/50 weight ratio and that it's going to be revving to 8k/9k.

How much weight did you add? If you can take any weight off elsewhere to make up for it, that'd be even better.

Good job!

3021 pounds fully wet + ~200 lb. driver... so roughly 2821-2841 total for the car alone. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that's less than the stock AP2 curb weight.

I'd much rather have a Hartley Hayabusa V8 in mine.

Would love to see this at a track day or autox course and how you're able to use the power in the turns.

Great project!

Not bad, but for the record, my '01 weighed in at 2753 lb. empty...

+70-100 lb. for an LS7 seems like the least weight added per horsepower added anyone could hope for, though!

Below is taken from^

"The S2000 still has a great weight bias of 49.9% front and 51.1% rear."

Umm lets try a little calculator equation.

49.9+51.1=101..... Math fail.....

Still seems like a Great car

Damn, just awesome. I had to rub out a quick one...

You wind up with the small, lighter S chassis (v. a C6), more exclusivity vs. a Vette, that's a _convertible_ when the mood strikes you, plus loads of low/mid range TQ from a handbuilt LS7 - without much compromise to the whole package.

Plus something really unique that will be a blast at cruise-ins/shows/etc.

Really fantastic job!

So you'd rather spend twice the cost of the LS7 to get half the torque, and rebuild the motor every few thousand miles? Good luck.

Seriously, the Hartley unit is awesome, and I'd love to see one in a fully dedicated track/race S2000, but if you want DD reliability and power, you can't do much better than the LSx family.
