JL,

The whole middle section of the seat (the perforated section you lean back on between the side bolsters), is only attached at the top and bottom, not at the sides. Just dig your fingers in between the side bolster and the center section and pull the center section forward a bit. You can pull it out far enough to stick padding or whatever in behind it and then push it right back again. It's nice because unless you put a LOT of padding behind it, you can't even tell there's anything back there just looking at it. Still looks completely stock and no loose pads to dick around with all the time. It's a real back saver!

I just did this very thing the day before yesterday. I came acorss some egg crate type foam padding I had laying around here. I cut an appropriate size piece, folded it in half against itself, and slipped it behind the seat cushion. It adds just enough lower back support that I feel much more comfortable while driving. Best of all...it was FREE!!!

Right now I have folded hand towel behind the seat back cushion, it gave me a little better back support. I will try to find the "egg crater type foam padding" to replace the towel to see if it will be better. Thanks for sharing this info.

I'm surprised that some dealerships are not advertising the S2000 as having "Infinitly Adjustable Lumbar Support" and then just handing you a towel on taking delivery

"Just fold it however you want.. and by the way, that'll be $394.99"

I bought 2 Chiroflow Lumbar Supports for $32 + shipping. I had one behind the middle section of the driver seat. The size is perfect, and the inflatable via the pump let me select the right amount of support I need.

This is where I bought Chiroflow Lumbar Support:

Honestly. I just took a small hand towel, folded it so it was about 5 inches by 4 inces and stuff it behind the seat in the lower portion, where the opening is. Haven't had a problem since and it works just fine for me. My lower back was killin me before I did this. Might want to try this before you go buy something that might be an easy quick free fix.

Thanks,
I tried that folding hand towel before I bought the two Chiroflow Lumbar Supports. I could not find the right amount of support I needed. The cost of two Chiroflow Lumbar Supports was only about $38 shipped, which is cheap enough for my needs in my S and at home too.
