Default Made an offer waiting for response from dealer

Hey wassup guys, I have been a fan of the S2K for a while now. A few times I tried to buy one but somehow the deal didn't go threw or something happened... Today I made an offer for a 07 S2k white on red/black with 38K miles Honda certified car for $19K I am waiting for a call from the dealer the sales man said he will be talking to the sales manager as soon as he gets to work. I really hope this deal goes threw I really WANT a S2K already. Kind of sick of my current car a G35 coupe. I read a lot lot lot of threads on what to check for when I get to the dealer as a final inspection but wouldn't mind a few last minute tips. I know the car is certified and all and I checked the carfax. here is the link to the carfax http://www.carfax.com/VehicleHistory...04149&zipCode=

Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated Thank you all.

It has 5 owners.

I would read this thread: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/775...-a-used-s2000/

Most important in my book: Look for VIN stickers on all the major body panels--missing ones means an accident or repaint, etc.:

Equally important, if you care about the health of the engine: Get a compression test. Make sure the numbers are good.

Good luck, be patient!

Thanks The Dude lol I know that's the only thing that scares me but the 5 owners if you look 3 are dealers idk how that shows 5 owners. The vin check was my first to look at. Since it is a dealer the compression test would they lie ( just to make a sale) Because I don't think they will let me take the car somewhere else to get that tested. One good thing is that I get 12month 12K miles factory warranty from Honda.

Thanks for the heads up

ahhhh yes the happiest moment in any car enthusiest's life, "making the offer..." Could the five owners be different dealerships? or does that even count for owners?? 07' is so new and the miles are good and white is hawt

Sounds like a good deal too me. If it was taken care of who cares how many owners and I do think sometimes carfax counts dealers as owners.
In regards to the work wheels I'd go with a 43 offset. It won't look that different from 38 and will fit much better

I purchased an 07 s2k, 38k miles with factory extended powertrain warrenty in July 2010, for $20,500. Bought from a private seller.

If the car checks out ok, and they accept the $19k, I would go with it. Seems like a very fair price. If you wait another 2 months, the prices will go up a little.

Very true that's why I'm hopping the deal goes threw today cross my fingers and the car also has I forgot to mention oem wing DISLIKE and oem front lip LOVE. Also has a aftermarket exhaust but I couldn't tell what brand it was. Sounded pretty good on the test drive but I want a single exit lighter exhaust it was a duel.

Auction cars are cars that dealerships dont want to sell to the public due to problems with the car, been on the property for too long or it was a repo for nonpayment.
$19,000 for a certified s2k is cheap trust me . We had a similiar white s2k with 19k miles here last year and were going to sell it until we found out the car needed the diffs replaced which then became a costly repair and we couldnt make a profit after fixing it so we sent it to an auction and let someone else buy it for cheap but deal with the headaches of the repairs. If you buy this car you have to definetely buy it under market value cause in the future when you try to sell it you'll have alot of explaining to do on why it has 6 owners and no ones going to pay you top dollar for it either. As long as the car wasnt in a wreck, original vin tags on all panels etc you can buy it but once again check it out like you would a hot chicks ass cause you may not know what youre getting yourself into lol

Ouch now im scared to buy it :-/

People always obsess over owners. Check it out thoroughly. Have it checked out by a professional if need be. I've had cars with 10 owners that look near mint and cars with 2 owners that have turned out to be crap.
