My MAINT REQ'D light blinks 10 times every time I start my engine. I have checked the gas cap, oil was just a tad low, but not enough to cause problems. Any existing issues? I haven't taken my car in because I know they will keep it for at least 2 days while they do the seatbelt and whatever other recalls they have to. Ideas? It happens when the engine is cold and hot, and it blinks exactly 10 times each time. Thanks ahead of time!

Blinks on and off 10 times, evenly, then goes away until I stop and restart the car.

Yup, it starts that every 6000 miles and eventually will come on and stay on. It is reminding you the 'maintenance is required'.

With the car off, hold down the trip reset button (continue holding it down while you start the car) and hold it for about 10 seconds.

and it will reset.

[QUOTE]
When the distance driven since the last scheduled maintenance reaches 6,000 miles (9,600 km), the indicator starts blinking.

Hey Skitz I have the same exact problem right now. If you don't do the maintenance at the recommended times, the Honda technicians will not reset your lights. What the dealer told me to do is wait till my next scheduled oil-change and they'll reset it for me then. If not, do what John David said because that's what I did the first time myself. Good Luck!!
