Maintance Req. light flashes at start up???

Maintance Req. light flashes at start up???
Starting yesturday, my Maintance req. light keeps flashing for about 5 sec durring and after I start my car. I goes away after aprox. 5 sec. What is it trying to say? I have 33K on the car.

You are 6K(?) miles from the last time the counter was reset. At 7K miles, it stays on.
The manual explains how to reset it, or, if its really time for maintenance, and you're at the dealer, make sure they reset it.
