I was driving home to philly from DC over the weekend and during the drive, the maintenance required light started blinking for about 5 seconds then quit. Now it seems that whenever I turn my car on, the light will now blink for about 5 seconds. I don't remember that happening before.

I checked all my fluids and they seem normal. I did get new rear tires, but that's about it. Any ideas?

look in the secret compartment? just ignore it, the light will stop blinking soon.

 

Your MR Light will stop "Blinking" soon and will stay "ON" All the time! It is just a reminder for service intervals, oil changes etc..... Your car is NOT going to "Blow-Up"Your "Owners Manuel " will tell you how to re-set! Very simple. If you would rather, your dealership will re-set it for you. Also....Many, many "Posts" on the re-set procedure.

 

Ahh.. duh. I should bust out the manual every once in a while.

 

the light blinks because it knows you have not read your owner's manual. once you read it, it will stop blinking.
