Default Anyone know why my "Maint Reqd" Light went on?

My Maint Reqd light flashed on briefly when i switched lanes onto a newly paved lane that had some of the paving gravel/debris still left on it. Traction was not an issue at all and my car only has a bit over 12,100 miles on it. Any ideas why it flashed on?

The light is a reminder to service your car. It is set to go on at 7000 miles (Maint Sch A). You can turn it off. The instructions how to, are listed in your owners manual.

I bet the light now flashes at you whenever you start the car, eh?

Instructions on how to reset the maintenance required light are listed here in our library section.

All of the useful information in the owner's manual is wasted if you don't take the time to read it.

It's like everyone says. Look at your owners manual. It will go off once. Then it'll blink more constantly then it'll stay lit as you get closer to the service interval.
