MAINT REQD light came on.
i only have 6,000miles on it. I do not rag my car or nothing. I baby it.
is this the normal maint. req. light that is scheduled for 7500?
is this something I can do at home, check the fluids, spark plug or should i take the car immediately to HONDA shop?
please advise. should i be worried?

This is normal. It's telling you a scheduled maintenance is due. You can ignore it.
The one you need to pay serious attention to is the check engine light. That warns of potentially serious problems, although it's usually something like a disconnected vacuum hose.
