Default Maintainence Required Light Flashing

The other day i was taking my girlfriend home on 280 east back to Kearny NJ and the Maintainence required light started flashing, but the car didnt feel any different. I checked all the fluids as soon as i possibly could and they all checked out fine. This happened on Friday night, now when i start it up it will flash a little and then stop and go off. I had to drive it a few times so far and have not reved it high just incase. I want to know if any of you had this problem and what it can be. Thanks guys.

It's a dummy light to remind you of scheduled maintenance.

Please read your manual, it tells you all about stuff like this!

Have you looked in the secret compartment? I bet the manual is in there.

There's a Neil Young song floating in head: "Helpless, helpless, helpless, helpless...".

Ooops, sorry, you can order the Manual from Helm Inc. There is stuff you need to know, like the proper lug nut troque spec, etc.

I am psychic, so i will save another post, and another lost Google opportunity:

www.helminc.com

I am also psychic, this time without Google Search significance:

The secret compartment is found by opening the vertical rear compartment behind the armrest, then feeling at the top of it for another hinge, which when opened will reveal a horizontal compartment, where my Manual, and perhaps yours, often hangs out.
