Manufactured Date vs. Delivery Date
Hi All,
Sorry if this is a repeat question, but I
could not find anything related on this board
with the search function.
I was just curious what the typical time span
is between the Manufacturing Date and Deli-
very Date for an S2000. The door jamb (sp?)
label on my car shows a Manufactured Date of
May '00, but I did not take delivery until
the end of September.
Now, I realize that each car is probably not
shipped as soon as it is assembled (especial-
ly out of Tochigi), but four+ months?
Anybody have any thoughts?
Thank you very much in advance!

Maybe your car was sitting in the show room for a month or 2. In addition, it takes awhile to transport your car from Japan to US. That is normal. Mine was built in Aug 00 but I got in Nov 00.
Thanks nvmys2k...
I was estimating two months for transporta-
tion and one month on the dock in Japan (in
queue for shipment), but I can't account for
the other month. The Dealer said the car
arrived two days before he called, and there
was only five miles on the odometer when I
picked it up. Can electronic odometers be
reset?
Aaah...maybe I'm just being paranoid, huh?
Thanks again.
