Default Mason-Dixon Mod

I live in southern Louisiana.... it doesn't get hot... it gets DAMN HOT! Humidity in the 90's is the norm. I would get extremely pissed almost every weekend I would try to do some good clean spirited driving or get stuck in traffic and my car lose power or start hesitating. So I bit the bullet and bought the Spoon thermostat and thermoswitch from Mingster and installed it myself. It was a bitch to install and I am sure I absorbed lethal dosages of Glycol during the install, but atleast my heat related issues seem to have disappeared. I have criscened this the Mason-Dixon mod. Anyone who lives south of the Mason-Dixon line needs this mod

I plan on doing the Shingles Mat Mod or SMM as it will be referred to from now on this weekend. I sure hope mine comes out pretty.

OK now for my questions:

Are there any longterm disadvantages to the Mugen themrostat?

Why didn't Honda do this in the first place?

Do you notice the radiator fan activating more often with the thermoswitch?

Well to be honest I never noticed how often the OEM switch turned on the fan. So I really couldn't tell you. Sorry
