mirror mod FAQ...anybody remember?
I'm a brand new owner...pleased as punch! I'm babying it (for now...) and watching the oil level meticulously.
I'm only 6'0" tall, but my seat is all the way back when I drive. I now realize that I WILL need to modify my driver's side mirror somehow in order to use it optimally. I'd like to try the old FAQ mirror mod referenced in many other threads:
https://www.s2ki.com/faqs/showfaq.php?threadid=17427
but it appears that this thread is no longer accessible.
Can anyone explain the technique in detail? Does anyone have it saved as a file? It's got something to do with adding washers to the mechanism, right?
I'd appreciate any text/pics that anyone has available. Thanks!

I get the same message you get when I try to open this thread. However, I'm the same height as you and had the same problem you have as far as side view mirror. All I did was got a nice little rectangular convex mirror from the local auto store and placed it in the bottom near corner of the driver's side mirror and BAM no more blind spot. Between the regular mirror, my add on and my own peripheral vision, i feel completely safe changing lanes with the top up or down. Try it, you'll like it.
