Modification Advice - Converted Mustang Guy
I agree with twohoos. I specifically chose gears for my home track that kept the rpm in the "sweet spot" virtually in every gear. This ensured fast exits and low lap times.
Although a steeper gear will give better 1/4 mile or stop light to stop light times it may not be ideal for autocross Just depends what kind of racing you want to do.
Then again you can start to play with the tranny too. Lets not go there.
Typically, when I have seen a steeper gear installed the car will actually lose horspower on the dyno.
Still, one hell of a kick in the ass modification for a daily driven car to get.
