I'm prolly the king of asking stupid question and since the search option isn't working i thought i'd post. But i'm at odds with my Honda dealer over modification. I really want to install a CAI on my car, but these guys are telling me that it would void all the warranty not just the powertrain one. I may be wrong but it just doesn't seem right. Another thing is that I was wondering if its possible to switch back and forth between stock and CAI easily and whats the best CAI that doesn't require any cutting and that sounds wicked with nice hp gains ( i have another thread running on the CAI question also). Dont mod your S2K! Expecially CAI. It wont help much. Maybe from 0 - 100 mph, you pull an extra 1/4 of a carlength. It only sounds fast/quick. If you dont install it right, vibration/buzzing....etc......nightmare.......

 

I have a CAI on mine and have taken my car to the dealer several times and my warranty is still intact. They won't void it for an intake. If something were to ever go wrong they would have to prove that the intake caused it inorder to deny warranty. There are a lot of people on this board with more extensive mods: headers, exhaust etc and they still have their warranty.

Thanks alot for the reply, yeah I think i'm gonna go with the CAI, I still dunno which. either AEM or Comptech.
