Motive Power brake bleeder

There is no way the snap fit japanese reservoir caps will hold pressure. They very loosely snap onto the reservoir and don't create a seal. In fact, if you order the adapter kit for german cars, it basically has a threaded reservoir cap with a hose fitting in it, so if this would work for the japanese style caps they would have done the same thing.
I have this product and I like it, but I much prefer to use it on the BMW which has a threaded cap rather than the universal fit adapter. I had the latter spring a leak one time on my MR2 at only ~10PSI and let me tell you it was a *MESS*! If it starts leaking, there is basically nothing you can do to stop it until it has spewed several ounces of brake fluid into the deep, inaccessible recesses of your engine bay. And did I mention what a remarkably effective paint stripper brake fluid is?
Also this is just IMHO, but I think the Motive works great for routine bleeds. But if you are changing lines, filling an empty system, or have really big air pockets, I feel the 2 person manual method is more effective at driving them out. @10PSI on the Motive you get a slow trickle, and you don't want to go higher than that with the univ. adapter. But with the manual method you get a nice surge each time you release the bleed screw.
If you are even remotely handy and like to make trips to OSH or Home Depot, it is a fairly simple affair to build one of these yourself out of a garden sprayer. Just a matter of assembling some fittings etc.

Seemed like a good idea though! They definately don't hold pressure.
