Budget price is just as expensive. $1390 for a one way unlimited miles with a flatbed tow. Made me take the 16' truck as it said 10' truck can't tow..
It is what it is then.

I just moved from seattle to San Diego. Although it wasn't cheap, it also wasn't as expensive as the prices you listed. Is the S your only car? I bought a hitch for the jeep and rented a 5x8 trailer. I also had alot of stuff. It's amazing what you can stuff in these trailers if you organize everything.

Are you moving by yourself? How much does it cost for a flatbed? i know uhaul wanted likr 5 or 6hundred so I just drove. I saved a few hundred dollars and the trip wasn't all the bad. Maybe someone can drive it for you, or whatever truck you rent.

That was going to be my suggestion, too. Know anybody with a truck and a big, covered trailer? It would take one hell of a friend to drive you and your stuff that far.

Well a flatbed is only like $350 or so so not tooo bad but the truck rental itself is a minimum of $1100. Plus then I'm sure gas will be really expensive with one of those things.
Thinking of selling all my stuff and buying it again down there and just driving down in my S.
It is my only car right now and I would be moving by myself.
Found someone on my local forum who might do it for a cheaper fee but I'll see. If only I could sell a used bed for a good amount haha. Hate to not bring it and buy another one for like $1000-$2000 for a queen size one like mine.
TV and grill and stuff are all replaceable easily since I can sell and buy for same price used really. Don't think used beds sell much.

If a bed is all you are worried about it may be worth selling the bed and buying a new one. Check to see if there is a "furniture row" in the area you are moving to. I got a king size "doctors choice" bed for $650. It's the perfect niche between a soft and hard bed.

Yeah I think I will try to sell everything or atleast most and just drive my car down there and maybe ship my tv or something. Got sweet deals on my grill and bed but if I can sell some of these things for decent amounts on craigslist might be the best way to go especially since I would be saving like $1500 in moving expenses. Can drive down for like $175 or so in gas in my car or maybe even a little less.

FEDEX/UPS the small stuff & clothes (other than what you need for the drive down down to Florida and for a day or two until the packages arrive).

Sell/donate the furniture & TV you have now. You can pretty much replace all your furniture at IKEA for under $1000, and have money left over for a new TV.

Yeah I love my bed so might see what it would cost to ship. I'm sure it can not be sold for much as I doubt anyone wants a used bed. It's a $2000 bed so would hate to just get rid of it due to the move. Never slept as good as I do with this thing haha.
TV I don't know what it is worth these days but hopefully near $1000 to sell.
Grill I would be fine to sell and furniture I could just leave with family and all. got little things like xbox and movies and home theater and stuff I could prolly just ship down or sell as well.
