I'd love the J's intake if I could afford $1k+ for an intake.

Has anyone Dyno'd thier J's intake? I've seen dyno's for the Mugen and it shows gains...but I've never seen any Dyno's for J's.

I've Dyno'd my J's...and let me tell you I was dissapointed. So J's for bling and Mugen for Bling and gains (In my case anyways)

I had the J's Racing intake on my EG Civic and even though it didn't have the ram air/heatshield design as for the AP models, I didn't feel any problems with HP/response loss. On the dyno, I gained a lot of mid-range and smoother peak powerband. I probably would have noticeable heatsoak issues if I didn't have heatshield over the header. Too bad they never sold the J's intake arm alone for AP's or else I'd buy one in a sec. Forget HP gains, I want throttle response! Here's a pic of the intake mounted in an EG chassis.

i got the mugen so go mugen....?j/k
i like my mugen and feel a diffrence compared to other "snorkle" versions. i had mugen version 1 spoon and now the version 2 of the mugen and its great. ecspecially w/ my r1000-
oh and a nice header to add would be the new j's racing header due to the diameter of the header piping throughout. picking mine up as soon as aj gets them in

1 vote here for mugen . I had the intake/header combo and was pleased with it. Is it worth the money???? Thats for you to decide.

FWIW, i raced s2x a few times with his j's and blew him away

To all the guys (& girls) running the Mugen intake, does the intake funnel rub against the radiator support? How else does the Mugen intake mount to keep it in place?
One of the things stopping me from picking up a J's intake (besides cutting the OEM hood) is drilling thru the radiator support.
