i have the mugen v2, and i also have the stock bumper because i don't like the way the ssbumper looks. you can always get an alex air duct if you like, i am still thinking of that. but it is not necessary for you to have the ss bumper for the mugen v2. it is still getting air from in front of the radiator, you won't have as big of a ram effect because there is no direct pathway of air, but it still works much better that stock, i definitely feel a difference, and i have not bogged once since i have had it, but it has also been colder out so we will see. dcap1 i think is selling one right now for $1000, he was selling like 3 of em.
i do want that asm bumper though, that is next on my list.

as for the j's, i don't know, i have no experience with it.

Thanks meth.

I'm considering Mugen, J's Racing, GruppeM or ASM to replace my AEM V2 so any insight is helpful.

As soon as i get my car back from the shop I'll install my J's, I went with the J's mostly because of the large snorkel that reached all the way down and the large chamber.....I've been very curious though, what does the ASM intake look like?

I think it is worth it if youre getting $1000+ intakes. Ben at AJ-R said that there are gains of at least 15 hp.
