Must Be a Conspiracy....
A few weeks ago I noticed that one of the major car mags left the S2000 out of a sports can handling test -- I posted a "hey what's up with this ??" note on this board (maybe not in this section of the forums) and was pooh poohed ... but now I am really convinced -- the mags are ignoring the S2000.
Look at :
http://aolsvc.aol.consumerreports.org/auto...s/crauto60.html
you will see that consumer reports did an article on the convenience, or lack thereof, of soft-top removal/lowering. The S2000, with it's approx 8 - 9 second top lowering aspect was totally left out of the article ....

I don't think that it's a conspiracy but rather advertising dollars and at work here. Don't bite the hand off that feeds ya. Honda adveritises very little for the S2000 because of limited production.

I don't think it would hold a candle to the cars in the R&T article, either. I've been thinking about this for some time as well. The MP3 should be there simply because of it's platform and $ - not to mention the feel of the car as well as the objective numbers it puts down.
That said, I still like the S2K and it is truly a wonderful little car. Enjoy it.

They left out more than half of the convertible models produced for sale in the United States. How exactly is this a conspiracy?
Seems to me that they did sort of a "random" sampling of different types of tops and cars. Besides, Consumer Reports is non-profit and also rated the S2000 as a recommended buy, so I'm not sure why you guys think they would all of a sudden "forget" the car existed...?

One of the "better" features of our cars is the ease in which the top lowers -- it would have shined in this article -- and perhaps looked too good
