Mute Light
I'm driving along when I mute the radio and --- no green mute light! I look at the dashboard calculating the easiest way to take it apart to get to the mute button and wondering what bulb it takes. All the time thinking why me?
Then it strikes me - I'm running with my parking lights on. Parking lights on = no green mute light. Lights off or headlights on = green mute light.
Another obscure fact in case you were wondering, too.

A note and a hint:
Next time, do it in a darker location or at night. You will find that whenever you turn on your headlight switch to either position (park or headlights), all of your dash illumination should go to "night mode", which is dimmer than normal full "daytime mode". That light should still be ON, just less intensity.

You can also override the dimming when the headlights/parking lights are on by hitting the dash illum "+" button an extra time after it reaches the highest night setting (at least on the AP2). I should have rtfm sooner since I drove the car for weeks with the lights on during the day practically unable to read the gauges.
