Default Muz Snorkel

This seems like it would direct alot of extra dirt into the airbox and might even suck up water! Does this snorkel sit down in the bumber are behind the grill? And how safe is the Muz Snorkel?

It is almost impossible to hydrolock a car with the factory airbox since it is built to keep water out of the engine (unless of course you drive in to a lake). The snorkel is just about the safest aftermarket intake to use. You probably will get a bit more dirt in the airbox, but the filter is there for a reason.
