Default My first time....

I'm not sure if you guys remember it.......but my first time hitting 100 mph was like breaking the hymen ( if those still exist on modern day women) on my S2K

it was like 8 o clock at nite with my boy that wanted to get a feel for the car for the first time as a passenger......

it happened so fast that we looked at each other and then proceeded with shaking each others' hand and saying " couldn't have enjoyed 100 without ya"......

any of you other members rememer your first time going 100 mph???

110 is the magic number for me for some reason. Hit it in the mid 80s in a 77 Celica. For the S I try to keep it under 100 on public roads, and rarely see 90. But I had it up to 110 on the long straight at Summit Point.

EDIT: You have to be driving for it to count right? Otherwise, I go back at least another 10 years, ridding in the back seat of a Trans Am, I was like 7.

Back in the very early '70's. My brother was driving, and trust me, 115 in a '67 Chevy Caprice Classic feels a lot differnt than 100 mph in a modern Honda...

And yes, it did leave a lasting impression as now I'm addicted to the track.

I've been to 100 in other cars before, but the S was the first car I hit 140 in.

This is where I started getting brake fade, and I'm still making payments, but I couldn't see you getting much above 115-120 without some mods.

Right, I forgot about that. Yeah, at least good brake fluid and nicer pads. I would just try max speed at least once.
